Also, went to my intervew at Unitec on wed. Find out if I've made it in 2 weeks. I have a good chance but I've not done any intro courses, thats the only thing I'm worried about. A lot of the people there have done them so I'm unsure.

Went shopping with Karen tonight and got her to buy some fitted jeans and a girly summer top haha. she was very against it but then tried them on and actually liked them! she needed new jeans and she needed something new to wear to mums for xmas. its kinda a tradition for me and mum to wear something new on xmas so i put that onto Karen haha.

Things are good. Working a lot but it's worth it.

my husband is coming up on monday. he's being deployed to east timor (just civil unrest, not war). on tuesday we're taking a 2 hour road trip up north to visit his mum. never met his mum in the 8 years i've known scott. scott was like "yay! my mum will finally get to meet my wife!" haha
his mum owns a cattery but also has a couple of dogs and alpacas. will be an interesting trip. coming back on friday so if u dont see me on facebook, fear not, i'm just on holiday haha.

fuck mate! ninja just dropped a bomb! i hate having a kitty litter box inside haha
how can such a big smell come from such a tiny and cute thing?

i got home from work and got straight into the housework.
i've kept the house tidy but havent cleaned it since since harry went to dunedin for a bit 2 weeks ago.
it took me 1 1/2 hours but i felt so great during and after. i then showered and sprawled out on the couch in such joy. i was at peace hehe

oh shit, brb, have to empty the litter tray (even though i only did it a couple hours ago!)

ok...

Ninja is far more crazy tonight for some reason.
she's been running around the house only stopping to roll over onto the magazines she's pulled out from under the coffee table and rip them to shreads. mess is ok as long as it's clean :P
she's jumping out at everything. my fingers just got attacked lol
i love when she hides beside the couch ready to jump on whatever is around the front of the couch. she wiggles her bum like a golf player hehe

she's now watching me type ready to strike again . her scratches and bites dont hurt, shes a gentle wee thing.

i was gonna go to a going away party at a pub tonight but i was far too happy at home in a clean house with my adorable kitten i decided i couldn't be fucked going. i'm not close to the dude going away and he's only going on his oe. he'll be back.

i'm happy :) tired but happy :)

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO, HE IS THE MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF ( ARIZONA ) AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

These are some of the reasons why:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio created the "tent city jail" to save Arizona from spending tens of million of dollars on another expensive prison complex.

He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He banned smoking and porno magazines in the jails, and took away their weightlifting equipment and cut off all but "G" movies.
He says: "they're in jail to pay a debt to society not to build muscles so they can assault innocent people when they leave."

He started chain gangs to use the inmates to do free work on county and city projects and save taxpayer's money.

Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.

He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails.
So he hooked up the cable TV again but only allows the Disney channel and the weather channel.

When asked why the weather channel he replied: "so these morons will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs."

He cut off coffee because it has zero nutritional value and is therefore a waste of taxpayer money.
When the inmates complained, he told them, "This isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it, don't come back."

He also bought the Newt Gingrich lecture series on US history that he pipes into the jails.
When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series that actually tells
the truth for a change would be welcome and that it might even explain why 95% of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix (116 degrees just set a new record for June 2nd), the Associated Press reports: About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed- wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County Jail have been given permission to strip down to their government-issued pink boxer shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing pink boxer shorts were chatting in the tents, where temperatures reached 128 degrees. "This is hell. It feels like we live in a furnace," said Ernesto Gonzales, an inmate for 2 years with 10 more to go. "It's inhumane."

Joe Arpaio, who makes his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic."Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for parole, only to go out and commit more crimes so they can come back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things many taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves."

Wednesday he told all the inmates who were complaining of the heat in the tents: "It's between 120 to 130 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to walk all day in the sun, wearing full battle gear and get shot at, and they have not committed any crimes, so shut your damned mouths!"

Way to go, Sheriff! If all prisons were like yours there would be a lot less crime and we would not be in the current position of running out of prison spaces.

Mums neighbour has been taken off all life support.
She is breathing on her own.
Shes not going to make it.
She's braindead.
Her movements were involuntary.
They are just waiting for her to die.
Could be in the next hour, could take days.
It's just a waiting game now.

She was the coolest neighbour I ever had.
Blunt, straight to the point and no bullshit but she was still funny and kind and a lot of fun.

I'm going to say my goodbyes tonight.

Update: She died an hour ago.
